Pro bono consulting meeting within the scope of “Kapan Development Plan 2042” workshop

Within the scope of “Kapan Development Plan 2042” workshop, the “STRONG CSOs” project organised a pro bono consulting meeting.

On July 4 our project partners from UNDP – the Lead of Kolba Lab Marina Mkhitaryan and Disaster Risk Reduction Programme Coordinator Armen Chilingaryan, who was involved in the workshop within the frame of “Strengthening Disaster Risk Reduction National Platform Capacities in Armenia” funded by the DG European Commission’s Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection Department (ECHO), joined us in Kapan.

Marina presented the innovative “Smart City” project, which has been developed as a pilot project by the UNDP and Yerevan Municipality for the city of Yerevan. This project is aimed at supporting the city to overcome the faced challenges through innovative approaches and IT system, ensuring the sustainable development of the city and engagement of the citizens in that processes. Armen addressed the importance of disaster risk reduction activities in the context of sustainable development of the city.

We would like to express our gratitude to our experts for sharing their knowledge and expertise with the participants. The presented information can genuinely contribute to setting up proper development directions for the city of Kapan and the successful implementation of the plan.
